Join 1656 Club and Arte Mexicano en Indiana for a special community art-making experience inspired by Frida Kahlo.

This collaboration between 1656 Club, a Latina-owned and women-owned creative space, and Arte Mexicano en Indiana celebrates art, culture, and community through creative expression.

Participants will create an original 8" x 10" artwork using acrylic paint and collage materials while enjoying a beverage of their choice. All ages and experience levels are welcome, and participants are encouraged to bring additional 2D art materials if desired.

Completed works will be featured in the Frida by Colors exhibition at the Fonseca-DuBois Gallery inside the Indianapolis Liberation Center throughout July and August. Artists may finish their work during the event or take it home and submit it by June 28 at 1656 Club.
